Here’s the thing: “experts” will teach you the strategies but they will not teach you the framework to come up with strategies on your own.

Either because they don’t know how and they call an experience that worked for them a “strategy” or they want to keep you addicted, coming back for more.

Here’s a framework to put the power back in your hands.

PHASE 1: Find The Truth

Look at the principles or laws that are at play within the problem you are trying to solve. A law or a principle is constant over time. For example, the law of gravity will work the same in San Diego as it does in New York. Or the sheer fact that 2+2 will always equal 4, on Earth, on Mars or on a kayak out in La Jolla shores…

Use whatever tools you have to find the law or principle at play. Whether that’s science, mathematics or philosophy — find what is true.

This does mean that truth CANNOT be relative.

PHASE 2: Find The Edges

Every problem you are trying to solve has its constraints.

Identify what your current constraints are. Is it financial, time, people, education…? Match these constraints to the problem at hand and the ideal outcome you’re looking to achieve.

PHASE 3: Think, Then, Do

Once you identify the principles that are proven and true for your situation, the problem you’re facing and the constraints for your specific situation — think “what can I do?”.

You might surprise yourself with the possibilities that you can come up with.

These are now YOUR STRATEGIES for YOUR SPECIFIC SITUATION. However they are meaningless if you don’t act on them. So, take the first step :)
